RHODE ISLAND SCHOOL OF DESIGN
RISD’s after school program, “Open Door,†allows students in RI to attend free art classes taught by professional artists and RISD graduates here at JMW.
SANDRA-FEINSTEIN GAMM THEATRE
The Gamm Theatre’s partnership with JMW provides guest artist instructors and interships for JMW students. Our own theater teacher Karen Carpenter is a full time resident actor with the Gamm.
FUSIONWORKS DANCE COMPANY
Fusionworks’ working relationship with JMW allows students to study and perform dance, creating an eclectic mix between the two programs. www.fusionworksdance.org
ATHLETICS
JMW is a member of the Rhode Island Interscholastic League and students are allowed to particpate in array of athletic programs in the fall, winter and spring semesters at either Tolman or Shea High School.
PAWTUCKET BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB
An introductory arts program sponsored by the Pawtucket Boys and Girls Club allows students from Pawtucket to experience the arts as middle and elementary students with JMW instructors each week.
RHODE ISLAND PHILHARMONIC MUSIC SCHOOL
The RI Philharmonic Music School is JMW's newest partner. Music majors receive private lesson support and their state of the art performance facilities are extended to us for recitals.
AUREA
AUREA under the leadership of Charles and Consuelo Sherba, Charles as Concertmaster and Consuelo as a viola player in the Rhode Island Philharmonic provides guest artist instructors and interdisciplinary performances for the students, as well as internships for JMW students.
